Conservation by Charles L. Fontenay is an interesting one. It reads like a decent episode of Star Trek but was written eight years before the Enterprise Started Boldly going anywhere. It recounts the adventures of the crew of a StarShip that has just arrived back on Earth after a journey of two hundred and fifty-eight years, which due to time dilation is only 10 years from the crews perspective. The Earth they find is very different from the one they left behind…
